Terry McFlynn

Terry McFlynn is the Director of Football at Auckland FC, overseeing player and coach recruitment, football operations, and sports science.

Originally from Northern Ireland, he began his career at Queens Park Rangers before joining Sydney FC in 2005, where he played 214 games, captained for four seasons, and won two Premierships and one Championship.

Post-retirement, he remained at Sydney FC, later becoming General Manager of Football in 2016, leading the club to 2 A-League Championships, an Australian Cup, and securing its highest-ever player transfer fee.

After 14 years at Sydney FC, McFlynn worked as a FIFA-licensed agent before joining Auckland FC. He holds a UEFA A License and a Master’s in Coach Education from Sydney University.
